My niece felt very excited that her "gugu" (that is me) was going to bring her to buy her favorite drink - "Ya kult"! So, I started my journey of learning with her.
We had to walk across five blocks and cross two traffic lights to reach our destination. During the journey, her little hand was firmly gripped with mine.
It was then that I was reminded of what child-like faith in God should be:
a) my niece really trusted on me that I would bring her to get her favorite drink; throughout the journey, she didn't show any doubts on me. She just walked trustingly besides me, knowing that I would bring her to the destination and then safely back home.
b) my niece trusted that I would bring her safely across the road; even though there were big vehicles around she saw. She asked me to carry her and I did. I held her closely to myself for I wanted to comfort her from her fears.
I thank God for reminding me of His love for me too. For if I who am imperfect know how to stay trustworthy for my niece; what about the God who is perfect and almighty?
I am overwhelmed by His love for me!
