Childlike Faith

My niece felt very excited that her "gugu" (that is me) was going to bring her to buy her favorite drink - "Ya kult"! So, I started my journey of learning with her.

We had to walk across five blocks and cross two traffic lights to reach our destination. During the journey, her little hand was firmly gripped with mine.

It was then that I was reminded of what child-like faith in God should be:
a) my niece really trusted on me that I would bring her to get her favorite drink; throughout the journey, she didn't show any doubts on me. She just walked trustingly besides me, knowing that I would bring her to the destination and then safely back home.

b) my niece trusted that I would bring her safely across the road; even though there were big vehicles around she saw. She asked me to carry her and I did. I held her closely to myself for I wanted to comfort her from her fears.

I thank God for reminding me of His love for me too. For if I who am imperfect know how to stay trustworthy for my niece; what about the God who is perfect and almighty?

I am overwhelmed by His love for me!

Wise Words from above

How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. - Psalm 1: 1,2

In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.
- Proverbs 3: 6

Bring you to a nice place!

'Dragon Fruit Farm'! Before I visited the farm at Lim Chu Kang, I've read that there are dragon fuit farms in Malaysia. But I was ignorant that there is one right here, in our homeland!

Well, the place is spacious and there are Some orchid plants, tomatoes and many dragon fruit trees planted across the land. The dragon fruits are born from a type of tree that belong to the catus family. The farm only grows red flesh dragon fruits(there is another kind which is known as the white flesh dragon fruits).

FYI, you do not need to pay to visit the farm. It's a new kind of experience for 'city kids' like us! Almost forget to tell you, the air is fresh there!

We have moved on...

I just came back from an outing with my family. Together, we visited a dragonfruit farm and we had a good time together!

If you look at the photos ("My 1st family outing"), it is quite unbelievable that you can see such farm right in our homeland.

The trip is especially good for my mum. Her face was beaming with excitement as she saw the many beautiful flowers and plants. From the farm, she bought back some tomato seeds, a pot and some soil. All ready to grow her tomato plant.

We ended the day with fish head steamboat at Bedok.

Our hearts are knitted closer together through a short day's experience like this; but what's more important is that we are drawing strength from one another, telling ourselves that we should be ready to move on. Yes, it's time to do so.
