Think... before you act!

Four days ago, I took off to go for a body check-up at our famous women's hospital. It was quite early in the morning and as I seek to avoid the long waiting time, I was quite in a hurry. As I was rushing, something caught my attention. From a corner of the buidling, I saw there were three to four policewomen. With them were two women inmates. Unlike the others, both were pregnant. One of them looked like the baby is going to be due in no time. Both of their hands were handcuffed. Their heads were low; seem to be afraid of being seen by someone they know.

That few seconds of encounter with the two ladies bought some thoughts to mind.

Firstly, I am deeply convicted that when one commited wrong and is punished; his or her actions does not just affect himself or herself. But it affects many others. In this case, the birthplace of the inmates' children is going to be in the prison! What an unerasable memory!

Secondly, this taught me to be careful about my actions. Got to think hard before I act!

I left the place soberly...yet wandering what is instore in the future of these two ladies and their babies.

Just look up!

There was a story told about someone who questioned a Christian about GOd's existence. He held his fist up to the sky and asked the Christian, "Prove to me that your God exist! If you can do so, I will believe!" Then the Christian answered him plainly, "The round and big *moon that you are pointing to, tells you all.

Romans 1: 20 says this, "For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse."

Have you ever doubt His existence? Just look at things around you and above you... each tells you all!

*I saw the big round moon when I was at Toa Payoh Central.

Learnt a lesson well

According to a recent newspaper report, in every year, there are around 20 000 handphones lost in our country. Guess what... I am one of those who have contributed 4 handphones to the stats. Yes, I have lost four handphones altogether. I am not proud of that but indeed am very ashamed of my carelessness. Whenever I thought of the lost, I am always filled with frustration and remorse; "Why don't I just be a bit more careful?", "I should have checked before...", etc.

I was reminded that all the while I have not learnt the lesson well. To be able to lose so many handphones, reflects aptly my carelessness with things. I have to do something about it. And I need your help too. The next time you see me, do help to remind me about the handphone. Haha... quite a funny idea right?

I better learnt my lesson well.
