2 weeks after he left us

The sudden absence of someone closed to you can be quite unbearable.

Especially when you know that he won't be back...ever again.

It is a difficult period for all of us; but we know that we have to move on.

A few times, I caught my mother seating at one corner and seemed to be thinking of him and about the past.

It is still difficult for us to return home and see his photo, which was placed on the table. That face... once so familiar and was alive.

Whenever I see the corner he used to sit and read his newspaper, and the place he lied down when not feeling well... tears will well up ...

Last night, my youngest brother said that he dreamt of my father... in his dream, he saw my father busy in the kitchen. (Before he passed away, he used to cook for the family; but we didn't seem to appreciate his cooking much... sigh)

I should have...

Even though I knew that my father is in a better place than earth, there are still some thoughts of "I should have"...

I should have spent more time listening to him...
I should have spent more time talking to him...
I should have not hold my grudge against him for so long...
I should have told him that even though he had many flaws, but I still respect him as my father...
I should have taken more days off to keep him company when he was not well..

Why do I have to wait for him to leave us, then start to make the remarks of regrets?
I should have...

My Sunday Pals

Meet my "Sunday Pals"! They are my company on most of Sunday afternoons. So what do we usually do on a typical Sunday? We will do drawing, play cards, take a nap together, play at the field oppostie our flat, go and play at the see-saw and then end up in an ice-cream treat.

I thank God for each of them. For each is so unique in his or her own ways. The brother is a thoughtful boy, jus that he loves to tease the sister alot. As for his sister (guess which is the one), she is a quiet and emotional girl. And as for their cousin, she just loves to eat...not picky about food; and her hug often warms my heart.
