Precious Child Precious Smiles

Cant't really see what the picture is? The child on the right hand side of the photo is my niece and the one in a squatting position is my nephew. I bought the both of them for a walk on a field that is just opposite my flat. I didn't know that my niece was a runner. She ran so fast across the field that its a challenge to try catching up with her. Her face was beaming with excitement for a fact that she could run on a big field. As for my nephew, he was being introduced to a plant name mi-mo-sa; it amazed him to see how the leaves curled up immediately when he touched them. So, he combed the whole field to just look for the plants.

I always lament that their parents could not spend much time with them. For both sets of parents were caught up with their work. So everyday, the child has to wait till 9 or 10pm to have his/her parents'company. Though I understand the importance of earning more to provide for the family. But it will even more be a waste if they don't slow down their pace to spend time and to notice the smiles on their child's face... and the sparkle in their child's eyes.

My New Year Wish

What is important to me in this New Year is to be able to spend more time with my loved ones... like him. For I wish and hope and pray that one by one, each of them will come to know and accept the WAY, the TRUTH and the LIFE. This has always been my greatest desire...

"Better??? Hmm..."

Like many of you, I would want to wish that 2006 would be a better year than 2005. But as I think about it again, who defines “better”? Better in what sense? Look at the “happenings” in the World; it is pretty obvious that things are not getting any better, just when you think and hope it would be. Often, I wonder what is in the minds of many when they think about the New Year.
I hope that in your search for a better year, you would begin to decide for yourself what really is important to you; what really lasts and worthy of using your whole life to pursue it!

May you be able to find the One, who alone can truly satisfy your deepest needs and who can give you the true purpose of life.
