Cup cakes for Children's Day
The school had asked the parents to contribute some food to their children's day party. So, I had decided to try out the nutella cup cakes recipe shared by a friend. Had made twelve of them for the kids.
Homemade Beef Burgers
Having tried some homemade beef burgers for dinner at a friend's place, I had decided to make some for my family too. To make a nice burger, the quality of beef is important. I had realized that the process of making it was not so easy. But still, the end product was quite satisfactory.

The joy of giving
Whenever I am asked when I will quit my job to be a homemaker, I will always find it hard to answer. Even though, the desire is to give my son an undivided attention; I find it hard to give up the mission that I have received from the One who has sent me. It has helped me realised that life is more than material needs. Even though, at times, there were compliants and grumblings cause the work of reaching out to the youth is not easy but I am still grateful for the opportunity to share my life with them. The joy of giving to these youth has made my life full.

I AM BACK!
It's been a very long while since I have updated this blog. My life has been a busy one thus far but in all, it is meaningful. I have an additional member in the family and I have experienced so much joy in just spending time with him. It amazes me to see the Lord's work in my child and that reminds me it is HIm who owns the life of the child. I will surrender Tze Hung to His Creator, because, He knows what is best for His own.

What's the Most Important?

75 days of 2007 have passed. I found myself not really knowing what had happend during those busy days. The entry to the New Year was one that was fast and eventually led to a very hectic life.
Besides there was work, there was my course exams and most challenging of all was my new role as a wife. All are crying out for my attention at the same time. I must admit that I didn't handle each of them very well. In my helplessness, I remembered what I needed most... the time to take stock!
I need to ask what is the most important thing in life? My conclusion is RELATIONSHIP. Relationship with the One who has created me and know me the best; and the relationship with people who are dear to me.Especially with people who are dear to me, for today I may see them around but tomorrow ... they may not be here anymore. So, I reminded myself not to live with any regrets when come to handle these delicate relationships.

14 more days to go
14 more days to go and I will enter into a new chapter of my life. What is it like to live with someone who is so different from me, for the rest of my life? Will I be able to cope with the differences? Will I be a good wife? Will he find me a good support? Will we be good parents? Will we have enough to keep the family going? Will we...
14 more days to go...
In God I will commit my "will we". In His wisdom I will trust. He knows.

In God I will commit my "will we". In His wisdom I will trust. He knows.

Who am I

Who am I, that the Lord of all the earth
Would care to know my name...
Who am I, that the Bright and Morning Star would choose to light the way for my ever wandering heart...
I am a flower quickly fading here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
Vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I'm calling Lord,
You catch me when I'm falling and You've told me who I am...
Yes, I am Yours.

Childlike Faith
My niece felt very excited that her "gugu" (that is me) was going to bring her to buy her favorite drink - "Ya kult"! So, I started my journey of learning with her.
We had to walk across five blocks and cross two traffic lights to reach our destination. During the journey, her little hand was firmly gripped with mine.
It was then that I was reminded of what child-like faith in God should be:
a) my niece really trusted on me that I would bring her to get her favorite drink; throughout the journey, she didn't show any doubts on me. She just walked trustingly besides me, knowing that I would bring her to the destination and then safely back home.
b) my niece trusted that I would bring her safely across the road; even though there were big vehicles around she saw. She asked me to carry her and I did. I held her closely to myself for I wanted to comfort her from her fears.
I thank God for reminding me of His love for me too. For if I who am imperfect know how to stay trustworthy for my niece; what about the God who is perfect and almighty?
I am overwhelmed by His love for me!

Wise Words from above

How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. - Psalm 1: 1,2
In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.
- Proverbs 3: 6

Bring you to a nice place!

'Dragon Fruit Farm'! Before I visited the farm at Lim Chu Kang, I've read that there are dragon fuit farms in Malaysia. But I was ignorant that there is one right here, in our homeland!
Well, the place is spacious and there are Some orchid plants, tomatoes and many dragon fruit trees planted across the land. The dragon fruits are born from a type of tree that belong to the catus family. The farm only grows red flesh dragon fruits(there is another kind which is known as the white flesh dragon fruits).
FYI, you do not need to pay to visit the farm. It's a new kind of experience for 'city kids' like us! Almost forget to tell you, the air is fresh there!
